Today's lesson of Clothing and Textiles is basically on the HOW to make a lesson plan for this particular subjects and finishing up the Competency Profiles.
Lesson plan for Clothing and Textiles has its own uniqueness, thus its different from other subjects. From our discussion as a group ( comprises of Farah, Hidayah, Nadira,Yvonne, Jehan, Ain and myself), we preferred if the lesson plan is well organised and each section is divided appropriately instead of putting all of them in one page. For the lesson structure, it is very important to specifically state down every aspects of the lecture. This will help us when we happen to be in the state of "what should I say next?" or "what question should I ask?"
I have learnt to work the basic manual for using the Artista Sewing Machine. Thanks to Yvonne and Jit for sharing! J The most important thing that we need to remember is that different bobbin casing has its different function. Bobbin with 'pig tail' is meant for embroidery where without the 'pig tail' is for normal sewing purpose. When choosing the thread for sewing, shiny thread is meant only for embroidery! you wouldn't want your beautiful part of the shininess hides itself at the bottom of the fabric.
